Spring Creek Towers Scholarships Awarded to Community’s
College Bound Grads

Thirteen college bound students are this year’s recipients of scholarships from the Spring Creek Towers College Awards Program; $70,000 in varying amounts was awarded.

The scholarships, which have been awarded annually since 1984, are available to high school seniors who live in Spring Creek Towers.  Applicants must meet all the submission requirements by providing high school academic records, SAT scores, written essays, letters of recommendation, documentation of community service and participation in a personal interview with the selection committee.

“The committee had a remarkable group of highly motivated young people to select from,” said a spokesperson for the scholarship program, which has seen a decided increase in the number of applicants.  Twenty-six candidates applied this year.  “The selection process was one of the most competitive in recent years.”
